SEO & AI search optimization for small business.

Make your services, real service area, and reasons to trust you easier to find and understand. We plan the SEO foundations of a custom website for Google Search, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and ChatGPT search.

Human-led scope first. No automatic audit, build, or launch starts from booking a call.

The short answer

What does “AI SEO” actually mean?

It is useful website SEO applied to search experiences that also generate answers. Your custom site needs accessible text, clear services, trustworthy business information, and supporting evidence—not a separate collection of AI-only pages.

Google AI Overviews & AI Mode: Google says existing SEO best practices still apply. A supporting page must be indexed and eligible for a search snippet; meeting those conditions does not guarantee inclusion.

ChatGPT search: Review access for OAI-SearchBot, including robots.txt and hosting controls. Its search role is separate from GPTBot’s training role, so those preferences can be managed independently.

Four checks before chasing visibility.

Can crawlers reach the page?

Review robots.txt, indexing directives, canonical URLs, sitemaps, response status, and hosting or firewall blocks. Check that rendered pages expose useful text—not just text inside images. Use Search Console URL Inspection to verify what Google sees.

Does the page answer a real question?

Explain each service in plain language: who it helps, what is included, where it is available, and how to inquire. Use descriptive titles, headings, and short answers supported by specific details rather than keyword repetition.

Is the business identity consistent?

Keep the business name, contact details, actual location or service area, and Google Business Profile consistent. Show real people, credentials, and approved work examples. Structured data should describe facts visitors can verify on the page.

Can visitors find the supporting proof?

Connect service pages to relevant work, useful guides, FAQs, and a clear contact path with descriptive internal links. A coherent page structure helps people and crawlers discover related information without orphaned pages or repeated city lists.

Local pages need local proof.

Build focused service pages around places you genuinely serve. A city-specific page should add a real project, relevant coverage detail, or a distinct customer answer. Otherwise, use one useful regional page. Never invent an office, address, review, or nearby project to look local.

Measure discovery and inquiries.

Start with Search Console indexing and a baseline of impressions, clicks, queries, and landing pages. Google includes AI-feature traffic in its overall Web performance reporting; do not present those totals as an isolated AI attribution report.

Compare that evidence with completed forms, calls, bookings, and inquiry quality. Where available, review ChatGPT referral visits too. Trends inform the next improvement; they are not a promise of future results.

Start with the facts

Bring your site. Talk to a person.

Have an existing website or Google Business Profile? Bring its URL, priority services, actual service areas, approved proof, and any Search Console or inquiry findings to a 15-minute Zoom. We review fit, page priorities, and scope before work begins.

This is not an automatic SEO audit or an unattended optimization run. Any existing-site work, access, and implementation are agreed first.

SEO & AI search: clear answers.

What does AI SEO mean for a small business?

It means making your website accessible, useful, and clear enough for search engines and AI search experiences to understand. We focus on custom website SEO foundations, helpful service answers, consistent business information, and credible proof—not a shortcut to an AI recommendation.

Can you guarantee Google rankings or a ChatGPT recommendation?

No. Crawling, indexing, rankings, and inclusion in Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, or ChatGPT search are controlled by those platforms. Better foundations can support discovery, but cannot guarantee placement, traffic, or inquiries.

Do I need special AI schema or an llms.txt file?

Google says there is no special schema or new AI text file required for AI Overviews or AI Mode. We use relevant standard structured data that matches visible content. We do not treat llms.txt as a prerequisite or a guarantee of AI visibility, and FAQ markup does not promise a rich result.

Should I create a service page for every nearby city?

Only when each page adds useful, distinct information backed by real geographic proof, such as local projects or specific service coverage. Otherwise, one strong regional service page is better than near-duplicate city pages. We do not invent a local office, address, review, or project.

What should I bring to the 15-minute Zoom?

Bring your existing website or Google Business Profile URL, priority services, real service areas, and examples you have permission to publish. If available, bring Search Console findings and recent inquiry patterns. A person reviews the fit and scope with you; booking does not start an automatic audit, build, or launch.

How are project pricing and ongoing optimization different?

Published base website project prices are $2,500 for a Simple Site, $3,500 for a Full Site, and $6,500 for an E-Commerce Site, before applicable tax. Every new launch also requires $30/month managed hosting and continuous optimization, shown separately at checkout. These are website project prices, not a standalone SEO audit quote; we confirm any existing-site work and scope before you commit.

A clearer website starts with a conversation.

Review your services, proof, and priorities with a person—not a promise of placement.
